Green Card Through Marriage

A green card through marriage to a U.S. citizen is one of the most common ways we can help obtain lawful permanent residence in the United States. The spouse of a U.S. citizen is considered an “immediate relative,” which means there is no annual limit on the number of green cards available through this category.

Our office focuses exclusively on immigration law, and we understand how complex the marriage green card process can be. Whether you are applying from inside the United States or if a spouse will be interviewing at a U.S. consulate abroad, we work closely with couples to prepare strong, organized, and well-documented cases. This goes a long way in receiving a decision without further delays.

Citizenship

Naturalization can provide important rights and protections that lawful permanent residents do not have, including:

  • The right to vote in U.S. elections

  • Stronger protection from deportation

  • The ability to apply for certain government jobs and benefits

  • Greater freedom to travel internationally for longer periods of time

  • The opportunity to petition certain family members for immigration benefits

  • Eligibility for a U.S. passport

Vulnerable Populations

We know that many people fear speaking about what they have experienced. Some clients worry about retaliation, deportation, family separation, causing legal harm to a loved one by telling their story, or not being believed.

Our office approaches these cases with sensitivity, discretion, and respect.

During your consultation, we will:

  • Listen to your story without judgment

  • Explain possible immigration options

  • Answer your questions honestly

  • Help you understand the process ahead

  • Discuss ways to protect your confidentiality and safety in the process

We believe people deserve to feel safe while seeking help.

Deportation

Many of our clients come to us during some of the most stressful moments of their lives. Our goal is to provide honest guidance, strong legal advocacy, and compassionate support throughout the process. We also limit the number of court cases we handle at any given time to make sure we can maintain our strict standards for handling each case. Too often, we hear during consultation calls that other firms will send different attorneys the client has never met to the hearings, and the attorneys who happen to show up are unfamiliar with them and the case.  We have dedicated counsel that will handle your case and work directly with you from beginning to end.

  • At Mundo Legal, we help clients:

  • Prepare for Immigration Court hearings

  • Respond to government allegations and evidence

  • Build strong legal defenses

  • Apply for immigration relief and protection

  • File appeals when necessary

  • Understand their rights and options at every stage

Even if an Immigration Judge denies a case, there may still be options to appeal the decision before the Board of Immigration Appeals or federal courts.

Deportation

Asylum

Applying for asylum is not just about filling out forms. Your case may require detailed evidence, personal declarations, country condition research, interviews, court appearances, and extensive preparation.

Our team helps clients through every stage of the process, including:

  • Preparing and filing asylum applications

  • Gathering supporting evidence and documentation

  • Drafting personal declarations

  • Preparing for asylum interviews

  • Representation in Immigration Court

  • Responding to USCIS requests and notices

  • Applications for withholding of removal and Convention Against Torture (CAT) protection

We know how difficult it can be to revisit painful experiences. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel informed, prepared, and treated with dignity throughout the process.
